Cled Ngoy — developer & worldbuilder.

I care more about why a system is built a certain way than whether it merely works — architecture, data, and the tradeoffs in between. Backend by instinct, frontend when it's asked of me, and building a fictional universe on the side.

About

I'd rather understand a system than just ship it.

I'm a developer who leans hard toward the backend — logic, architecture, systems, and how the pieces fit together. Given a problem, I want to know why it's built a certain way, what the alternatives were, what it costs, and how it holds up two years from now. That habit shows up in most things I build, from platform architecture down to how I structure a fictional universe.

My day-to-day stack runs on Node.js, TypeScript, React and Next.js, with PostgreSQL and MongoDB behind them, shipped through Docker and Railway. Frontend is less of a comfort zone — but I still end up doing plenty of it, this site included.

Outside of code, I'm building a fairly massive narrative world, chasing webtoons and manga, and usually gaming late into the night when everyone else has logged off.

Projects

Things I've been building

A mix of platform architecture, tooling, and a couple of experiments that got out of hand.

My Story · StudioLite · Sakada

A platform for authors: story structuring, a scene-and-node editor, and a living “Bible” for each work. A full workflow carries a story from author to editor to publication, built around manga, BD, and webtoon formats with a Notion/ClickUp-style dynamic editor.

  • Next.js
  • System design
  • Editor UX

Fleet

Architecture work for a modern backend platform — service boundaries, data flow, and how the system holds up as a microservices-first design.

  • Architecture
  • Microservices
  • Backend

DDimension

A drawing app with three modes in one — classic sketching, scientific/2D (AutoCAD-style), and a mini-Blender-like 3D mode. Built with PyWebView and HTML Canvas, deliberately skipping Electron.

  • Python
  • PyWebView
  • Canvas
  • Desktop

Dynamic-Game-2D

A 2D game built from the ground up in Python.

  • Python
  • Game dev

Chr-Manager

A Python management application for organizing structured records.

  • Python

Also a full-stack contributor at FleetArc, and more on GitHub.

Off the clock

Building a world on the side

When it's not architecture diagrams, it's continents, power systems, and a cast of characters that keeps growing.

The world so far

Continents
Tare, Fela, Febra, Pacha
Origin story
The Commencement, and the Creator Ang
Central conflict
The Miasme and the First Apocalypse
Power system
The Heritages
Cast in progress
Ida Nodgeas, Valerie Valenda, and their families

Why webtoons

Heavy on imagery, light on text, easy to fall into — that combination is what pulled me toward webtoons and manga in the first place, and it's a big part of why the world above is being built as much through visuals as through writing.

A few random facts

  • No interest in luxury cars or yachts — a Toyota Land Cruiser LC76/LC79 or a Hilux is more the vibe.
  • Not a seafood person, at all.
  • Runs on a night-owl schedule: work and study by day, gaming and creating once things quiet down.

Most of the late-night sessions end up on gaming.ingene.xyz.
